Today I spent some time at Collendina Beach, between Ocean Grove and Point Lonsdale, to wish my Mum a very Happy Birthday. My Mum passed away a little over two years ago from her battle with cancer. And this is the beach where she rests now. Mums favourite color is purple and I'm sure she would have loved these flowers from my garden! Watching my Mum battle with this crap disease was terrible. Our relationship was difficult at times....Mum did and said things that I would frown upon...alot! But she is still my Mum and to lose her is the most difficult thing I have been through. She knew I loved her but I wish I had of told her a whole heap more! I wish I could have sat with her more and helped her get through her last year. I wish I could have understood what she was going through. I wish I could have taken her pain away. I wish she could answer all of my questions that I continually ask her! I wish she was still here.....
I love going down to the beach and just sit and think and wish and dream and talk out loud to my Mum. After I took this picture, a very fast wave whooshed up and I got soaked, up to my knees!
Thanks Mum....I can still hear her laughing!!!
