Sunday Afternoon.....
After my morning walk, I headed down to Queenscliff to 'window shop'. Many, many, many items went onto my wishlist! Window shopping and dreaming is very hard work, so a hot chocolate stop was on the agenda at The Chocolate Room. I've noticed lately that when I order a cake, I gravitate towards a flourless orange cake. Oh my goodness! So yum! I have a recipe somewhere. I wonder where it is.......?
I did treat myself to a couple of old bottles. A medicine bottle and a bottle that held a pint of milk. I'm sure both Dad and Nan would think I was mad spending money on old bottles! But look how pretty I made them! The man who sold them to me gave me a great history of where they came from and how old they are! The pint is from 1936! And the medicine bottle came from a ship in Portsea in the 1950s. He described what the letters and numbers on the bottoms mean....it was interesting! And my roses look gorgeous in them!
Earlier at the Drysdale Market, as it poured with rain, I discovered some absolutely delightful lanterns! They have nautical themes and they will feature on my Christmas table on the big day!
Almost 5pm....big day of pottering around. Is it too early to put my pajamas on?

It's never too early for pj's and no, l don't think you're mad for buying bottles. Did you know that milk bottles were refilled over and over and over again? Makes you wonder how many homes that your bottle visited over it's life...
