Oh, it's a hot day in Geelong today. As I write this, the temp is hovering around 40 degrees, so we were up early to beat the heat and have a walk down the beach. At Collendina at 8am and during our hour long walk we could feel the heat going up a notch every now and again. Every man and his dog were also trying to beat the heat! Before we got back to the car, Sam had a quick dip in the surf and I had the responsibility of looking after the car key......
I lost the car key.
I lost it in a 20 metre radius and do you think we could find it?! We were all hot and frazzled and it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack! The house keys and some money and Sams mobile were all in the car. So asking a few people if we could use their mobiles, no one takes phones to the beach anymore, I walked down to the pub....closed. I walked back to the caravan park to use their phone. Not knowing anyones number off the top of my head, I had to look them up in the phonebook. People not home, couldn't find numbers, so, so hot and frazzled and thirsty and hungry! Finally got in contact with Sam's sister Ang and she picked up the spare car key from their mum's house and we finally got home about 12. (Thanks  Ang!!!!)
So after a huge drink and all getting sprayed with the hose, me, Sam and Jack are all indoors with the air con on and both boys are snoozing.
No longer hot or frazzled.......

What a morning, nothing worse than losing car keys, especially in that heat.

At least you all got home ok.
