An unbelievable, horrible hot, hot weekend. I wanted to do so much, but when the weather is unbearable, there is only so much you can do....
On Friday I met my Nan at the Port Produce market, an array of lovely homegrown local produce from the people of Portarlington and the Bellarine Peninsula.
The value for money was so good! I bought pumpkin, potatoes, a leek, the most biggest cabbage ever, a mango, figs, watermelon, cucumbers, red peppers, grapes, zucchini, onions, asparagus, sweet potatoe...I think that was it...I bought so much, they were all huge and only $20 for the lot!
I treated myself to a very relaxing massage in the afternoon, lots of sore spots! Then that night, Nan and I went to Melbourne for tea...yum...then went to watch some footy....it was so hot. Still 30 degrees at 10pm! So stuffy. A restless sleep followed....
On Saturday me, Sam and Jack got up early to beat the heat and enjoyed a walk and a swim down at Ocean Grove. Lovely. And Sam's cooked BBQ breakfast of eggs and bacon even more lovely!
Then last night back to Portarlington to the local Chinese Restaurant....
Homemade spring rolls, curry puffs, satay beef, honey chicken and lots of rice....oh my goodness! My new favourite Chinese place!! Great service, superb food! Highly recommended!
Today was yukky hot. New air con is sitting in the kitchen, waiting to be installed! And as I blog, a huge downpour of rain and some cool relief, finally! Hopefully the hotness is going.....

We are experiencing some hot weather too, it's almost like we have Summer at long last.

Your Chinese food looks divine, and there is nothing nicer than some fresh Summer fruit and veges.
