On the weekend I caught the train to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.....
They are held each year in the beautiful historic Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens.
It's a riot of color, sights, smells and so much design ideas.......
and lots of inspiration.
I love coming every year, but I haven't been for a while.....last year I was in London for the Chelsea Flower Show! So lucky! But I can't compare the two....Melbourne's Flower Show is pretty good too!
I took one of those granny trolleys and packed a lunch and got comfy on the grass with a tomatoe and cheese sandwich and some little cakes and macaroons.....very yum and quite relaxing!
Then filled the trolley with lots of 'stuff' I gathered from the stalls around the gardens.
The show is a must do if you ever visit our little city.....it's quite lovely.
Now, I must be off and store all of those (many!) spring bulbs I bought! Then come Springtime, I'll have my own little Flower and Garden Show!

Beautiful photos of the flowers. The colors are so brilliant and clear. They must have been Amazing in person!
I love the shot of you enjoying your lunch. I noticed right away that you slipped the shoes off, that is the first thing I do whenever I get a chance.

I would love to go to Chelsea...so jealous!...am desperately trying to convince some friends to come to Floriade in Canberra with me as a substitute this year.
Your photos of the Melbourne show are lovely...and the macaron.
