Flowers for Friday
When we were younger and lived in Bayview Street, Altona,
there was a huge wattle tree in the backyard.
And walking along the rail trail the other night,
I took some branches from the odd wattle tree that lined the path,
and placed them in a vase on the heater
and as they let out its subtle scent,
it reminded me of my childhood.....
and bought a smile to my face.
